Local Educational Workshop:
Protecting Your Children: Advice from Child Molesters
Sponsored by Klamath-Lake Cares and Sky Lakes Medical Centerat the Mabel Liskey Henzel Pavilion 2200 N. El Dorado Avenue Klamath Falls, OR 97602. On April 17thfrom 7pm-9:30pma Parent/Teacher/Community Member event will be FREE of Charge. Workshop topics will range from "Extent of the Problem- who the offenders are and why they molest children", "Common seduction or grooming tactics", and "Practical child and family rules for safety".April 18th is an all day Educational Workshop that lasts from 8:30am-4:30pm and includes continental breakfast and a light lunch. Registration fee forApril 18this $40.00 and you must register by April 15th. Workshop topics on this day will include "Selection, Engagement and Seduction of Children and Adults by Child Molesters", "Sex Offenders in Youth Serving Organizations: They Come with the Territory" and the final wrap up "Protecting Our Children- Advice from Child Molesters". Featured Speaker Cory Jewell-Jensen M.S.is a nationally known speaker and author and has been a featured guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Integral Youth Services Third Annual Youth Art Auction
Saturday, April 19th, 2008 at 5pm doors will open at the Ross Ragland Theater, 218 N. 7th St. Klamath Falls,for a pre-auctionblack-tie "mocktail" party, allowing the public and artists' families time to previewyouth works and socialize with the artists. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served, prizes for contributing artists will be awarded and other surprises will be announced! Bidding starts at 6pm and will conclude at 8pm. The Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children (OAEYC) Learning Fair is April 19th from 10am-2pm. The Learning Fair will be held at the Klamath County Fairgrounds inthe Main Exhibit Hall.The Children's Learning Fair is a long standing community interactive fair for the whole family presented in a safe, drug and tobacco free environment. Children age 2 and up and their families have the opportunity to make crafts to take home with them and be involved in hands-on exploration and discovery activities. Global Youth Service Day 2008
The youth volunteers in your afterschool program can join youth across the globe on Global Youth Service Day 2008, April 25-27, to share how they help serve in their communities. Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) is an annual global event organized by Youth Service America and the Global Youth Action Network, together with numerous International Organizations and National Coordinating Committees that celebrates, recognizes, and mobilizes:
-The year-round contributions of young people to build their communities and their world through voluntary service, and
-The contributions made by the community (public, private, and nonprofit sectors) for empowering young people, especially through mentoring

Local Training:
Layered Addictions TrainingTrainer Bobbi Edwards, Certified Addiction Counselor, Member CDPWS, Certified Northwest Indian Counselor,& Member of NAADAC will present trainingworkshopson the following topics: Layers of defenses and addictions that hide “who we are” and increase awareness of stage 2 recovery; How layered addictions block recovery; & Core shame issues,relationships, food, gambling,workaholilcs, sex,and parenting messages.
All training will assist in increasing awareness of the cycle of pain and addictions.
There will be two separate workshops offered. The first is April 24-25 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Your second option isMay 29-30 from 8:00 am to 5:00pm.
