Protecting Your Children: Advice from Child Molesters
Presented by the Center for Behavioral Intervention (CBI)at the Mabel Liskey Henzel Pavilion 2200 N. El Dorado Avenue Klamath Falls, OR 97602. On April 17th evening events are open to the public and scholarships are available. Workshop topics will range from "Prevention", "Indications That a Child is Being Molested", and "How Child Molesters Gain Access to Your Child". The Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children (OAEYC) Learning Fair is April 19th from 10am-2pm. The Learning Fair will be held at the Klamath County Fairgrounds inthe Main Exhibit Hall.The Children's Learning Fair is a long standing community interactive fair for the whole family presented in a safe, drug and tobacco free environment. Children age 2 and up and their families have the opportunity to make crafts to take home with them and be involved in hands-on exploration and discovery activities. Friday, March 21st is the final registration deadline for several sports programs at the YMCA: Youth Volleyball, Adult Men and Women's Basketball, Little Kickers Soccer. Categories include: adult, senior, youth, volunteer program, youth volunteer program or group, employee volunteer program and statewide volunteer program. Nominations due May 8th. AmeriCorps Program Funding Opportunity Oregon Volunteers is holding outreach meetings across Oregon in June, 2008 for organizations interested in operating an AmeriCorps program of at least 10 or more full time equivalent members.
