The Community Health Fair is sponsored by OHSU School of Nursing and Sky Lakes Medical Center. The Health Fair will be held at the Mabel Liskey Henzel Pavilion 2200 N. El Dorado Avenue Klamath Falls, OR 97602. The event is Saturday March 8th and theYDN will be appearing at the "Kids Corner". We will have an informational table and a small "interactive" event for children. If you would like your information distributed at this event contact Corey Christensen via email or phone number provided below.

FREE TRAIL BLAZER TICKETS!!!???
Oregon Mentors is working closely with new NBA Trail Blazer Greg Oden.They hopethis new partnership will encourage more men to mentor. Greg donated 30 tickets to every home game to Oregon Mentors. He asked that these tickets go towards kids and their mentors or groups of kids with an adult chaperone. There are saved weekend tickets for programs with a long distance to travel. Oregon Mentors would like to offer your program tickets to one of of these weekend games:
Sunday, Feb 24th at 3 pm
Saturday, March 15th at 7 pm
Saturday, March 29th at 7:30 pm
Sunday, April 6th at 3:00 pm
Saturday, April 12th at 7:00 pm

We understand that some programs do not allow mentors to travel with children, and other programs cannot bring kids to events as a group. Please consider if your program could accept the free tickets and let me know. Tickets will be given out first come, first serve, so please get in touch with me ASAP to reserve your best date.

Protecting Your Children: Advice from Child Molesters
Presented by the Center for Behavioral Intervention (CBI) at the Mabel Liskey Henzel Pavilion 2200 N. El Dorado Avenue Klamath Falls, OR 97602. On April 17th evening events are open to the public and scholarships are available. Workshop topics will range from "Prevention", "Indications That a Child is Being Molested", and "How Child Molesters Gain Access to Your Child". Speakers are Cory Jewell-Jensen M.S. and Steve Jensen M.A. Stay tuned for more information or call CBI at (503)644-2772.

The Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children (OAEYC) Learning Fair is April 19th. The Learning Fair will be held at the Klamath County Fairgrounds in Exhibit Hall #1. For more information contact Jolene Patrick at (541)883-6676. More details will be available at a later date.

Out of Town Conference:
Northwest Senior and Disability Services presents "Grandparents Raising Children Conference" in Salem Oregon. This FREE conference is for grandparents and other seniors that are parenting again. There are 37,536 children in Oregon that are being raised by their grandparents. The conference will help empower the grandparents in our communities by providing education, support, and resources. There will also be additional support groups and classes available. The conference will be held Thursday, April 24th, 2008 from 9:00am to 2:30pm at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Salem, OR. Cost is FREE and refreshments will be provided.
