Dear Klamath-Lake Area Youth Development Members,
Hello February! Hope all is well with everyone and that you are safe and warm in this winter wonderland.
Old News
The "Brand Your Business" seminar was held at the Ross Ragland Theater on Wednesday and we got some great info on advertising effectiveness. If anyone would like the information weaned from this event please let me know and I will be sure to pass it along. This was a simple seminar with highly effective means of making your business marketable and tapping into non-mature consumerism. Recommended for any program who has not developed an Annual Ad Plan.FYI: Purchasing radio ad time was not required.

Any other ideas are welcome.
Future Event Planning: The Oregon Positive Youth Development (PYD) Advisory Council Youth Engagement Sub-Committee is in the process of planning a statewide Youth Summit in May. However, before moving forward, they would like to receive input from young people and adults who might be interested in attending such a Summit. Antonia Maurer, Chair of the Youth Engagement Sub-committee, has sent out a survey for you to solicit help with the planning of the May 2008 statewide Youth Summit.
Here is a link to the Oregon Positive Youth Development Summit Survey:

**I will be unable to attend both the Mentor Training Class and the Southern Oregon Meth Project Forum as I have Americorps*VISTA In Service Training elsewhere. I strongly encourage anyone who is able to attend to do so as I will not be able to pass along valuable resources from these events.
The next YDN meeting is Feb. 20 @ the Ross Ragland Theater from noon to one. Due to weather and scheduling I have been unable to plan visits to your programs. I am eager to meet with you at your site before the next meeting. Please email me a time you are thinking about and I will make arrangements. Travel is not a problem.
