Dear Klamath-Lake Area Youth Development Network (YDN) Members,

It was extremely uplifting seeing all of your faces at the kickoff luncheon, we couldn't have asked for a better turn out! This will be the "official" Friday newsletter that we had talked about. Please send me any information you would like posted in this bulletin regarding training, resources, and any other important special events or topics. Speaking of training and special events...

"Branding Your Business"
This Tuesday and Wednesday, January 29th and 30th, KLAD and New Northwest Broadcasters is offering a FREE training at the Ross Ragland Theater at 10am or 2pm on both days. This effective seminar will be of great benefit for any small business or organization looking to get the word out about their program(s). Emphasis will be on how to maximize your advertising dollars. Please RSVP with Lynett at 541-882-8833. I will be attending the 2pm training on the 30th and will pass any important resources on for those who can't attend.

YDN Monthly Meeting:
Third Wednesdays of Every Month- Noon to One PM.We wereonly able to reserve the courthouse basement conference room again for two out of the next for months. March 19th and May 21st we will be meeting at the same location in the courthouse. February 20th and April 16th will be at the Ross Ragland Theater, located at 218 N. 7th St. Klamath Falls, OR 97601. Thank you Doug Hite, RRT Outreach and Education Director, for acquiring this meeting space for us! Be sure to mark these dates and places in your calendar.
*Don't forget to be thinking about your one to two line blurb for your program, looking into the number of youth your program has served (data to be tracked), and a time to be able to meet with me at your organizations site. Looking forward to seeing what all of you have by the next meeting at the RRT Feb 20th.

Survey Results:
These are the top three results from the Kickoff Meeting Survey

-Recruitment & Training Staff and Volunteers (10 Votes)
-Youth Development & Leadership (9 Votes)
-Grassroots & Community Based Fundraising(8 Votes)

We will begin working on contacting the experts in these fields and then have them come visit us here in Klamath Falls for future trainings! Thank you for your input.

I know you all have busy days and so I'll end here, even though I could go on and on. Thank you once again for your involvement and participation in the Klamath-Lake YDN. Looking forward to seeing all of you within the coming weeks!

Very Truly Yours,

Corey Christensen
